Our response to COVID-19
A Message from the Team at Savers
As a leading thrift retailer here in Australia, we have been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and are keeping a close watch on the daily developments.
Due to the COVID-19 stage 4 restrictions announced by the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, all Victorian Savers stores were closed as of 5th August. We will be in touch when it is safe to re-open these store locations, and we hope to resume meeting the needs of the Victorian community soon.
During the Victorian stage 4 restrictions we will not be accepting donations at Victorian stores on behalf of our charity partners, so please hang on to them until the restrictions are lifted and we re-open.
South Australian stores remain open and will continue to accept donations of clothing and household goods on behalf of Red Nose.
As a long-standing member of communities in Australia, we remain committed to doing what is right for our shoppers, team members, and the community’s public health. Our priority, now more than ever, is to continue to provide a safe shopping environment for our customers and team members at our stores – those that remain open in South Australia, and when we are able to reopen our Victoria stores.
In light of COVID-19, we are implementing some new measures for our collective health and well-being. While our stores are cleaned and sanitised daily as part of our normal course of business, as an added precaution, our teams have increased the frequency and extent of those cleanings with a focus on “high touch” areas and surfaces that receive frequent contact.
Our hearts continue to be with all of those who have been affected, and we remain hopeful that COVID-19 is quickly controlled.
