Our response to COVID-19
As a thrift retailer with deep community ties, we’ve always been committed to providing a safe and unique shopping experience. Whether browsing our racks or dropping off your pre-loved goods, we want you to feel confident every time you come to Savers®. That’s why we’re listening closely to the advice of health and government officials, as well as feedback from our team members and customers. We’re taking the following actions to create a safe environment:
New store and Community Donation Centre™ hours.
From 2nd November all our locations are open in Victoria. We are maintaining store schedules that allow additional time to thoroughly clean and stock our sales floors. You can find the most up-to-date information about your local store here.
Creating a safe shopping space.
We’ve created additional space on our sales floors to allow for social distancing while you shop. You’ll notice floor decals throughout our stores, making it easier to judge the proper physical distance from other shoppers. Your local store may also limit the number of shoppers inside at any given time.
Enhanced daily cleaning procedures.
We’re deep cleaning our stores and have increased the cleaning frequency of commonly touched surfaces, like register areas, shopping trolleys, and baskets. In addition, sanitiser stations can be found in every store.
Protective gear.
Our team members are wearing fitted face masks and we’ve added protective screens at the registers for both their protection and yours. Fitted face masks are mandatory in Victoria, so please wear one while in our stores. If you aren’t feeling well or have been around anyone exposed to COVID-19, please stay home and take care of yourself. We’ll be here when you feel better.
